EchoLike

The posts you like or bookmark on X arrive in your own Telegram, saved and searchable. Free, open source, no account.

Download 2.20.1

Chrome, Edge, Brave and Firefox. Nothing is sent to us: your likes go to the bot you connect, and they travel encrypted.

Install, step by step

  1. Download the zip and unzip it into a folder you keep (do not delete the folder later).
  2. Open chrome://extensions in Chrome, or edge://extensions in Edge, or brave://extensions in Brave.
  3. Turn on Developer mode with the switch in the top right.
  4. Click Load unpacked and pick the folder you unzipped.
  5. Click the EchoLike icon in the toolbar (pin it from the puzzle icon if it is not there) and open Settings.
  6. Under Inbox connection, paste the address of your inbox (for example http://minipc.local:8911) and press Connect: it claims a token by itself and the page says Connected.
  7. Turn on Sync to my inbox.
  8. Open or reload x.com and like a post. It shows up in your inbox within seconds.

Firefox

Open about:debugging#/runtime/this-firefox, click Load Temporary Add-on and pick the manifest.json inside the unzipped folder. Firefox removes temporary add-ons when it closes, so add it again after a restart.

Why Chrome shows a developer-mode warning

EchoLike is not in the Chrome Web Store on purpose: the store asks for identity verification. Chrome may show a "Disable developer mode extensions" notice. It appears for every extension installed this way, it is not a virus alert, and you can close it and keep EchoLike. The whole source is public, with no build step and no minified code.

What it does with your likes

The extension reads the posts you like or bookmark and sends them, with the author and the text, to the inbox address you connected. Without an inbox everything stays in this browser. There is no EchoLike account, so nobody else sees the list. Remove the extension and it stops.
